Life can change unexpectedly. A job loss, financial setback, family emergency, or other unforeseen circumstance can quickly place someone in a difficult position. During the month of July, the Jamel Delano Brooks Foundation had the opportunity to help an individual who had fallen on hard times and needed financial assistance to get through a challenging period.

Rather than focusing on the circumstances that brought them to this difficult moment, the Foundation focused on what could be done to help.

Through financial assistance, the Foundation was able to provide some immediate relief and help the individual take another step toward getting back on their feet.

Helping People Through Difficult Seasons

This act of kindness represents an important part of the Foundation’s mission—meeting people where they are and providing meaningful support when they need it most.

Hard times can happen to anyone. Sometimes, what a person needs is simply a helping hand to make it through an unexpected season.
